Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly; endure prolonged standing and walking each shift. Grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties. Maintain current RN licensure and obtain Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire. Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, or ENPC may be required based on the unit. Work as PRN staff at the Berryville operating room.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Ability to meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
