Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room per diem at Boston Medical Center in Brighton: deliver perioperative nursing care across surgical service specialties in a fast-paced, high-skill environment. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients; coordinating with inter-professional teams; delegating appropriate patient care activities; updating patient records; and supporting quality improvement efforts. Requires Massachusetts RN licensure, suitable nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN), BLS and, optionally, ACLS; OR experience as circulating nurse strongly preferred. Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)
- Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (Preferred)
- 2 years' operating room experience required; 3 years preferred
- Experience as a circulating nurse or related OR role
- Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years (if not already BSN)
