Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect total nursing care for assigned patients in the operating room, supervising assigned personnel while adhering to department and hospital policies. Perform frequent interactive and consultative associations, utilizing spoken word communication and manual dexterity for written, telephone, and procedural tasks. Maintain current ACLS, PALS, or BLS certifications as required by specialty and policy. This Registered Nurse position requires a Bachelor's in Nursing and one year of acute care experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Nursing
- One year of Nursing/Patient Care in an acute care setting
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
- Compact State Licensure in Nursing
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- De-escalation training
- Knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing care
- Interpretive skills
- Frequent interactive and consultative associations
- Management and supervisory skills
- Ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion
- Spoken word communication
