Job Summary
Demonstrate strong assessment skills to uncover patient stories, integrating subjective and objective data to recognize immediate and future care needs. Collaborate with patients and support systems to identify priorities, while engaging the interdisciplinary team to set realistic goals and adjust care plans as patient needs evolve. Administer medication therapies, provide routine nursing care including IVs and dressing changes, and respond effectively in critical situations such as CPR. Safely transfer and transport patients and handle necessary equipment as required. Continuously assess patient progress toward goals and outcomes, modifying the plan of care in collaboration with the team to achieve desired results. This role supports the Operating Room department at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, NC, with a PRN schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- One year of acute nursing experience
- Successful completion of a Board approved refresher course (if RN license inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and not licensed in another state during the last five years)
- Application for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course (if applicable)
