Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Operating Room using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality while adhering to Mercy Service Standards. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Offers shift differentials, comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance, matched retirement, and tuition support for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
