Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care in the Operating Room while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires current RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Located at Mercy South Operating Room in St Louis, Missouri, with comprehensive benefits including matched retirement funds and shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
