Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Operating Room using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments, evaluate the effectiveness of direct care givers, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires current RN license, BSN or diploma, and Basic Life Support certification. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand, and walk during shifts. Day-one medical, dental, and vision insurance included.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- OR experience
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
