Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care in the South Operating Room while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care with other departments, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and service standards. Requires current RN license, BSN or equivalent, and Basic Life Support certification. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- OR experience
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
