Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in an acute inpatient setting, incorporating evidence-based practices and safety protocols. Collect data, recognize changes in patient status, and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Provide direct patient care, delegate tasks appropriately, and monitor quality through performance indicators and audits. Teach patients and families, coordinate discharge planning, and maintain licensure and competency through mandatory education. Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, one year of RN experience (or residency equivalent), and a current compact/multistate license. Variable schedule including weekends, holidays, and on-call work at Prisma Health's Blount Memorial Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Holds a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working
- The acute inpatient setting may require staff to be scheduled for a weekend, holiday, and on-call work
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- In lieu of one (1) year of registered nurse experience, will accept successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization
- In lieu of one (1) year of registered nurse experience, will accept 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- In lieu of Associate degree in nursing, will accept nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
