Job Summary
Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for high-acuity surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care; administer medications and coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia team; monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, and uphold infection control and patient safety standards; document the nursing process and collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized plans of care; educate patients and families, participate in rounds and unit initiatives, and maintain compliance with BRN licensure, ANA standards, and hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- California RN license
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduation from an accredited RN program
- Knowledge of nursing standards and ethics
- Ability to document and communicate clearly
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team
- Perioperative nursing experience preferred
- Ability to adhere to infection control policies
- Good organizational and teaching skills
