Job Summary
Conduct holistic assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs while identifying safety risks and reporting abnormal data to physicians. Implement evidence-based nursing interventions, delegate tasks appropriately, and provide individualized education to patients and families in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Evaluate care effectiveness, adjust plans based on patient response, and maintain continuous documentation in the electronic medical record. Lead unit activities, mentor peers, and participate in performance improvement projects to support professional growth and patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- BSN within 5 years of the date of hire
- Current licensure to practice nursing in Ohio
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Certification in area of clinical specialty within five years of eligibility
- 100% on-time completion and attendance for annual education day
- Ability to accept and implement change
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
Desired Qualifications
- MSN or DNP
- Membership in professional organizations
- Participation in the professional advancement program
- Certification specific to work area of professional practice when eligible
- Participation in chosen professional organizations and conferences
- Participation in development and maintenance of research activities
