Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary
Circulate and/or scrub on all cases in an Ortho-heavy department, including trauma, sports medicine, spine, robotics, and urology. Provide breaks and sterile instruments as needed during operations while assisting with room turnover and restocking. Act as an advocate for the patient before, during, and after surgery, collaborating with the healthcare team to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The role involves approximately 600–700 cases monthly across 10 OR suites, with a 36-hour week and a 4–6 call rotation every six weeks. Weekend calls run from 0700–1930 or 1900–0730, with a 30-minute callback radius. Candidates must hold an RN license and an Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- RN License
- Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
- One year experience
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
- Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
- Schedule- 36 hrs/Week- Variable shift times/days per surgical Volume and current unit needs
- Call required- Approx. 4-6 call shifts per 6 week schedule block
- Weekend Call is 0700-1930, 1900-0730, weekday call 1900-0730
- 30 Min call back radius
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous OR Experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- One year experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, preferred for experienced RNs
