Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary
Circulate and/or scrub on all cases in a high-volume Ortho-heavy department, including trauma, spine, robotics, and general surgery. Provide breaks and sterile instruments during operations while assisting with room turnover and restocking. Act as an advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery, assessing physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs to promote optimal health and safety. Document interventions and patient outcomes accurately in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act. Maintain patient charts confidentially and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement plans of care. Work approximately 40 hours per week with variable shifts, including 4-6 call rotations per six-week block, within a 30-minute radius of the 10 OR suites.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
- RN License in state of employment
- Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly
- Previous OR Experience
