Job Summary
Provides perioperative patient care as an OR Circulator across the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. Delivers nursing care within the nursing process framework, assesses patient status and pain, documents accurately, reports to OR staff, and supports the surgeon during procedures. Ensures proper aseptic technique, correct patient identification and surgical site identification, and efficient turnover. Requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, an active IL RN license, and BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications, with two years of operating room circulating experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery settings. Emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and dedication to patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse License - IL
- Current American Heart Assn. BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications
- Two years of operating room circulating experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center
- Team Player: Works well as a member of a group
- Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
