Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for patients in the perioperative environment, including interventions for conscious or unconscious states. Identify physiologic, psychological, and sociologic needs while developing and implementing an individualized plan of care. Evaluate outcomes of the patient's perioperative experience and remain legally accountable for care, whether accomplished personally or by another team member. Maintain competence following standards set forth in the Florida Nurse Practice Act, SMH, and the department. Requires a BSN, FL RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification, with six months of OR experience preferred. Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is mandatory.
