Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned oncology patients while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Maintain a current RN license and meet state board requirements, with a preference for one year of RN experience. This part-time role involves nights shifts (1900-0730) at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, with a minimum of 32 hours per pay period. The position requires lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and walking. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of RN experience is preferred
