Registered Nurse Oncology

Deliver direct, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients while efficiently carrying out physician and nursing orders. Implement and evaluate personalized patient care plans, monitor patient progress, and document findings to communicate critical updates to the multidisciplinary team. Serve as the primary coordinator, integrating care efforts across disciplines for the best outcomes, and advocate for patients by assessing discharge needs and ensuring smooth, safe transitions of care. Requires BLS certification, active RN licensure, two years in medical/surgical nursing, one year in oncology including chemotherapy administration, and current OCN certification.
