Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for hematology and oncology patients, including administering chemotherapy, radiation, surgical interventions, transfusions, wound care, drain care, tube feeding, and pain management. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with other departments and the Hospice team for end-of-life needs. Perform duties requiring lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and operating remote telemetry for up to 13 rooms. Work 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) with rotational weekends, with new graduates eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus and experienced nurses receiving up to $20,000. Required Qualifications
- Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Med-surg skills such as wound care, drain care, tube feeding, and pain management
- Certification in chemotherapy administration
- Experience with radiation
- Experience with surgical interventions
- Experience with transfusions
- Experience with remote telemetry monitoring
- Experience with end of life care including pain and secretion management
- Work closely with the Hospice team
