Hospice Registered Nurse on call weekends only responsible for assessing physical, psychological, social, and spiritual factors affecting patient and family needs, initiating interventions with the interdisciplinary team, coordinating with the attending physician and other staff, and performing clinical death pronouncement when applicable. Maintains accurate clinical records and care plans, and participates in care coordination to support hospice patients and families. Schedule emphasizes weekend coverage (Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM–12:30 AM) in Deerfield, IL area; role includes driving as part of patient visits and mileage reimbursement benefits. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program
- Possession of a current license to practice in the state as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of two years of varied work experience as a professional nurse
- Demonstrated skill in nursing practices and clinical judgments
- Ability to cope with family emotional stress and tolerance of individual lifestyles
- Must possess current CPR Certification
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required
