Job Summary
On-call Registered Nurse in hospice/home care setting with a 7-on/7-off rotating schedule. Responsibilities include after-hours patient visits, admissions, responding to urgent night/weekend needs, completing assessments, developing and revising the Plan of Care, administering medications, providing patient/family education and support, documenting care, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and remaining available for calls during assigned shifts (5:00 PM–8:00 AM Mon–Thu and 24 hours Fri–Sun).
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state(s) of practice.
- Nurses holding a multistate license can practice in other states without obtaining additional licenses while maintaining their RN license in their primary state of residence (PSOR). Minnesota, Michigan, and Illinois are not in the Nursing Licensure Compact.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Ability to pass background, consumer report and drug test.
- If Driving: Valid State Driver’s License, automobile in good working order, automobile insurance in accordance with state and organizational requirements, and an acceptable driving record required.
