Job Summary
Assess and monitor patients' physical and psychological signs of withdrawal from mood-altering chemicals during 12-hour night and weekend shifts. Administer medications as prescribed, document comprehensive nursing histories, and record vital signs while identifying abnormal data for physician review. Collaborate with physicians, counselors, and behavioral health technicians to plan care using a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring adherence to state guidelines and infection control protocols. Provide patient education on addiction dangers, treatment options, and family support, while participating in handoff reports and peer reviews. Ensure accurate communication of supply needs and maintain medication inventory.

- Vital Signs - Demonstrates knowledge and able to properly check vital signs: Accu-Check & safe parameters, blood alcohol levels (BAL), blood pressure parameters, pulse, respiration, temperature, conversation with patient.
- Demonstrates knowledge and able to properly review UA/ Pregnancy test results.
- Performs Chart Checks – reviewing MAR, orders, labs, UA's for accuracy and confirm that all tasks are completed.
- Current RN license to practice nursing in the state of Arizona.
- Current CPR certification.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention CPI.
- 12-hour shifts
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Desired Qualifications
- Residential experience 1 year (preferred)
- Psychiatric experience 1 year (preferred)
