Job Summary
Guide new hires and current employees through preplacement and annual screening processes, including access issues, data management, and adherence to biosafety and infection control standards. Provide medical surveillance for occupationally based exposures, coordinate treatment plans for employee patients, and manage a comprehensive immunization program. Deliver education on occupational illness and injury along the continuum of the process while developing stakeholder status updates that protect HIPAA rights. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders across UMass Memorial Health and UMass Chan Medical School.
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts state licensure
- Graduate from accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of two years' of up to date and progressively responsible nursing experience in Employee Health, Occupational Health, Infection Control or related field
- Skilled with utilization of EMR and other software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent phlebotomy skills
- Experience in caring for employees with blood borne pathogen exposures
