Job Summary
The Registered Nurse - Obstetrics position is a per diem role requiring a commitment of 64 hours over an 8-week period, including rotations during weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include providing patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as assisting providers in care for women and newborns, supervising OB techs, and training new staff. Candidates must possess a valid NYS RN license and complete Neonatal Resuscitation training within one year. Preferred qualifications include certification in obstetrical or neonatal specialty and a BSN.
Required Qualifications
- NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse
- Neonatal Resuscitation required within one year of hire
- A graduate of an approved school of nursing or having met requirements of the NYS Education Department
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in an obstetrical or neonatal specialty
- One year of medical-surgical or obstetric nursing
- BSN, or BSN required within 5 years of hire
