Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for obstetrics patients using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and therapeutic interventions. Oversee care delivered by LPNs and CNAs while participating in clinical team conferences to foster continuity and quality. Comply with evaluation and documentation guidelines, assist in developing individualized treatment plans, and address patients' physical and psychological needs. Recognize and respond to alarms, patient issues, and emergency situations requiring rapid verbal and written communication. Manage patient transfers, ambulation, and supply distribution, including lifting heavy items and navigating crowded hospital environments. Perform medication preparation and frequent computer use for documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Montana RN license
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
- NRP within 18 months of hire
- STABLE within 2 years of hire
- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Prior OB and/or L&D experience
- One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting
