Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in Labor & Delivery, the Nursery, and the NICU. Foster quality care by developing individualized treatment plans, overseeing LPN/CNA work, and participating in clinical team conferences. Communicate compassionately with patients and families while complying with hospital policies and documentation guidelines. Manage patient needs through frequent interactions, equipment operation, and patient ambulation, including lifting and transferring heavy items. Work primarily on night shifts with occasional day shifts, requiring regular attendance and adherence to safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • BSN Degree from an accredited program
  • Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License
  • BLS Certification
  • PALS certification
  • NRP/Neonatal Resuscitation certification
  • AHWONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
  • Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment
  • Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
  • Ability to navigate crowded and busy rooms
  • Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Previous OB NICU or L&D experience

Desired Qualifications

  • National Certification in area of practice
