Job Summary
Registered nurse provides professional and technical nursing care in the Observation Unit/Med Surg, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Responsibilities include directing and supervising other team members, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, delivering age-appropriate care, and promoting patient experience and professional growth. Requirements include RN licensure in Texas (or eligibility), BLS, and at least 6 months RN experience; BSN is preferred; current certifications as required by the department. Methodist Dallas Medical Center is a major acute care facility with a range of recognized programs and services.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
- Work experience: at least 6 months RN experience
