REGISTERED NURSE OBSERVATION

Plan, provide, and direct patient care and teaching for a 30-bed observation unit housing mostly telemetry and med/surg patients, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with physician orders. Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families while collaborating with other healthcare members. Assist in the orientation process of new personnel and participate in health center and department committees. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care according to specific chronological age, developmental age, and/or psycho-social maturity.
