Registered Nurse-Observation Full Time Weekend NIghts

Conduct comprehensive assessments on assigned patients, derive measurable nursing diagnoses, and modify care plans to identify realistic patient goals. Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to plan care, including discharge planning and referrals for palliative care. Ensure safe medication administration via bar coding, perform hourly rounds with patient care technicians, and utilize the Alaris pump guardrails. Document all electronic and paper records, manage bed assignments, and participate in unit huddles and quality initiatives. Oversee patient care or support techs when assigned as charge nurse, taking clinical lead during condition changes and conferring with physicians. Maintain a safe environment by preventing pressure ulcers, falls, and infections while adhering to the Illinois Nurse Practice Act.
