Registered Nurse-Observation Full Time Weekend Days

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, derive measurable nursing diagnoses, and modify care plans to identify realistic patient goals. Collaborate with families and the healthcare team to plan care, including discharge planning and referrals for palliative care. Administer medications safely using bar coding, round hourly with patient care technicians, and convey accurate information during shift reports. Implement evidence-based interventions, utilize teach-back methodology for patient education, and ensure complete EMR documentation. Oversee patient care for assigned staff, take clinical leads for condition changes, and participate in unit huddles and quality initiatives. Maintain a safe environment focused on preventing pressure ulcers, falls, and infections while adhering to the Illinois Nurse Practice Act.
