Job Summary
Gather patient information and vital signs, administer medications and vaccines, perform diagnostic screenings, and collect specimens for testing. Conduct in-office clinical procedures, review EMR orders, and relay lab results to patients via phone or portal. Provide patient and family education, document chart entries accurately, and respond to urgent acute situations based on prioritization skills. Coordinate care with in-house specialties, community resources, and hospital teams while adhering to industry guidelines and HIPAA policies. Maintain strict confidentiality and complete mandatory certifications. Requires an active Maine RN license, BLS within six weeks, and proficiency in EMR systems.
Required Qualifications
- ADN or BSN from an accredited institution
- 0+ years of experience
- Unencumbered active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine
- BLS required within 6 weeks of hire
- Excellent professional judgement
- Phone skills
- Prioritization decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Response to rapidly changing, sometimes acute patient care needs
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
- Electronic medical record (EMR) experience
