Job Summary
Provide leadership and direction to the patient care team while delivering direct nursing care for adults, adolescents, elderly, and newborns through physical, psychological, and social assessments. Formulate nursing diagnoses and develop individualized plans of care, incorporating clinical decision-making and prioritization of activities. Educate patients' families and other health care team members regarding health maintenance, disease processes, and discharge planning. May be required to work on other units based on staff and patient distribution. This PRN role within Women and Childbirth Services requires a valid Wisconsin nursing license, current CPR and NRP certification, and one to two years of OB experience. Shifts include AM (7AM-7PM), PM/Nights (7PM-7AM), and are available as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Baccalaureate degree
- Valid nursing license for the state of Wisconsin
- Current CPR
- NRP certification
- 1-2 years of experience in OB
Desired Qualifications
- STABLE certification
- A minimum of one-two years of experience on a Medical/Surgical unit or an equivalent
