Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery, Recovery and Post-Partum settings; perform assessments and planning for individualized patient care; communicate with physicians about changes in clinical condition; respond to changes in condition or response to treatment; assist with antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patient care including assisting with C-sections; monitor fetal heart rate and uterine activity via EFM; educate families in infant and self-care; participate in performance improvement and professional development; float to other departments as needed after orientation and skills checklists.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree Nursing
- Active Washington State RN license or eligible compact license
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate EFM
- Within 12 months: STABLE (or other mandated classes)
- One (1) or more years of recent Labor and Delivery/Newborn Nursery experience (preferred)
