Job Summary
Assess patients and families, documenting ongoing evaluations per TriHealth guidelines while communicating findings to providers. Plan individualized care based on assessment outcomes, establishing short- and long-term goals including discharge planning. Administer medications and treatments safely, monitor effects, and perform technical skills according to policy. Recognize emergency situations, balance patient needs with unit priorities, and supervise delegated care. Train staff and act as an expert resource in specialty areas through existing and newer knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- 2 years of Maternity Experience (Required)
- BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
- Registered Nurse
- Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs a various stages of the life cycle
