Conduct comprehensive patient care in the nursery by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and evaluate quality outcomes. Establish personal rapport with patients and families while providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. Teach patients and visitors about disease processes, medications, and self-care skills to promote independence. Adhere to infection control policies, medication regulations, and universal precautions to protect patients and staff. Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and inventory management. Document patient services accurately in medical records and communicate care plans with the nursing team. Engage in quality improvement initiatives, attend educational workshops, and participate in unit-specific problem-solving. Provide culturally sensitive care using AIDET and positive service recovery methods.
