Job Summary
Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers and coordinate patient care with other departments. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld in accordance with Mercy Service Standards. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly while enduring prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Requires grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat capabilities to perform duties. Maintain current RN licensure within the hiring state or compact licensure, with BLS certification required and ACLS, NRP, or other unit-specific certifications as needed. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire

- Six Assessment & Care Modules
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
