Job Summary
Develops, implements, and revises patient care plans while providing direct nursing care and supervising licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and techs. Demonstrates clinical competence in managing patient care, improving quality outcomes, and establishing professional relationships within a charge nurse capacity. Identifies learning needs to teach patients and families, collaborates with diverse teams, and applies professional standards to fulfill hospital responsibilities. Requires a current California RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification, with acute care experience strongly preferred. Located at the San Francisco facility, this full-time NOC role supports critical and chronic complex medical conditions at our Joint Commission Gold Seal accredited LTACH.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of California
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing process
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of teams and individuals
- Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations
- Ability to project a professional image
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
