Job Summary
Provide emergency care to patients in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. Manage Observation, Inpatient, and Swing patients while collaborating closely with the Therapy department to facilitate patient return to pre-hospitalization lifestyles. Perform duties requiring lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and walking. Work nights from 7pm to 7am with rotating weekends and holidays. Obtain and maintain current RN licensure and required certifications including ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Acquisition of other unit specific certifications as required or within department required timeframe
