Job Summary
Provide emergency care to patients in the Emergency Department at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Manage a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1 while coordinating closely with the Therapy department to facilitate patient recovery. Work rotating night shifts from 7pm to 7am, including weekends and holidays, with physical demands involving lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing. Obtain and maintain current RN licensure and required certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and PALS. New graduates are accepted, though emergency department experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Acquisition of other unit specific certifications as required or within the department required timeframe
- Availability for Nights shift (7pm-7am)
- Availability for Rotating weekends and holidays
