Job Summary
Provide emergency nursing care to Observation, Inpatient, and Swing patients in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. Collaborate closely with the Therapy department to coordinate care and facilitate patient return to pre-hospitalization lifestyles. Perform duties requiring pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and prolonged standing and walking. Maintain current RN licensure and obtain ACLS and BLS certifications during orientation. Work nights from 7pm to 7am with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe
- Nights shift availability (7pm-7am)
- Rotating weekends and holidays availability
Desired Qualifications
- At least six months of experience as an LPN or RN
