Job Summary
Provide emergency care to Observation, Inpatient, and Swing patients at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. Collaborate closely with the Therapy department to facilitate patient return to pre-hospitalization lifestyle. Maintain a current RN license and obtain ACLS and BLS certifications within the orientation period. Perform duties requiring lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and walking throughout the 7pm to 7am night shift. This role offers a sign-on bonus of $15,000 for new grads or up to $20,000 for experienced nurses, along with comprehensive benefits including tuition support and matched retirement plans.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe
- Nights shift availability (7pm-7am)
- Rotating weekends and holidays availability
Desired Qualifications
- At least six months of experience as an LPN or RN
