Job Summary
Provide full nursing services to inmate patients in a correctional facility, including assessing health problems, initiating medical records, planning and implementing care, administering prescribed treatments and medications, and maintaining IV therapies. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, practicing pharmacology with safe drug administration, delegating tasks to lower-level staff, educating patients on diet, hygiene, and prevention of chronic diseases, and potentially serving as Charge Nurse or Acting Supervisor in the absence of the HSA. Must adhere to HIPAA and safety policies, be able to respond to emergencies, perform CPR and AED usage, and maintain required certifications. Work schedule is nights (6:00p–6:00a) in Roswell, NM.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
- CPR/BLS certification
- TB test within one year
