Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Night Shift in a nursing home setting. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care and health education for residents under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Supervises nursing assistants, assigns work, ensures resident safety, administers medications and treatments per physician orders, conducts ongoing resident assessments, develops individualized care plans, and coordinates with the care team to deliver high-quality geriatric care. Requires a current RN license, CPR certification, and a compassionate approach to caring for the frail elderly; preferred experience in long-term care and familiarity with EMR systems. Night shift duties include supervising staff, ensuring medication administration accuracy, and responding to resident needs in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Current state RN license
- CPR certification
- Additional certification in nursing specialty desired
- Interest in gerontological nursing
- Basic computer skills
- Experience in long-term care preferred
