Job Summary
Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs, develop nursing care plans, and maintain medical records while educating families. Administer medications accurately, document controlled substance counts, and ensure physicians' verbal orders are transcribed appropriately. Notify staff of significant status changes, complete admission and discharge processing, and demonstrate universal precautions during direct care. Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients, coordinate unit activities, and communicate professionally with co-workers and visitors. Requires current RN license, one year of nursing experience, and CPR/de-escalation certification. $42-$50/hour including night differential; FT night shifts at Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Danville, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of employment or be eligible to practice nursing in accordance with state requirements
- One year of nursing experience
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification
- First aid
