Job Summary
Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of premature infants and their families, documenting findings per NICU and TriHealth standards. Develop individualized plans of care based on clinical assessments and patient needs, while providing health teaching and emotional support to families navigating critical moments. Respond to emergent neonatal conditions and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary clinicians to coordinate safe, timely care for high-risk newborns in a Level III environment. Complete technical skills, medication administration, and equipment use according to policy, and contribute to unit excellence through precepting and knowledge-sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers
- Strong foundation in nursing sciences across all developmental stages
- New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs

- Must complete S.T.A.B.L.E. program by the end of first year of employment
Desired Qualifications
- NICU experience
- 1+ year full-time or 2+ years part-time acute care RN experience
- Membership in a related professional nursing organization
- Specialty certification (e.g., RNC-NIC)
- RNs with more than 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time acute care experience
- Preferred certification in specialty
- BSN (within 5 years of hire)
