Registered Nurse - NICU - PRN Nights

Job Summary
Provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care in the NICU environment, combining emotional support and education with high-level medical nursing care to promote patient well-being. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and adjust individualized care plans, instruct patients and families, administer medications and treatments safely, document accurately, and participate in on-call coverage and staff development. Requires Tennessee RN licensure, BLS within 90 days, NRP within six months, ability to work under pressure, and preferred NICU/perinatal experience. The role involves long shifts (up to 12 hours) in a NICU setting with standard NICU equipment and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months of hire
- Able to function in stressful situations
- Special Care Nursery/NICU experience desirable
- Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call
