Job Summary
Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period while caring for infants in the Level II NICU. Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill, developing goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient and family needs. Provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies and demonstrate Service Excellence standards. Requires current Nevada nursing license, BLS certificate, and NRP within six months of hire. Neonatal nursing experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Current Nevada nursing license
- Current BLS certificate
- NRP within 6 mo. of hire
- STABLE within 6 mo. of hire
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Neonatal nursing experience preferred
- Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting
