Job Summary
Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for acutely ill patients while evaluating progress toward outcomes. Direct care delivery, coordinate with physicians and ancillary staff, and document patient responses to interventions. Collaborate with families and utilize evidence-based research to guide practice decisions. Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects. Requires a BSN (or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years), current Illinois RN license, and BLS certification. Part-time night shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role
- Experience in specific clinical area
- Additional Preferences for the Emergency Room and the Pediatric Emergency Room
- Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)
- Emergency Communications Registered Nurse
- Certified Pediatric Nurse
- Certified Emergency Nurse
