Job Summary
Provide Level III NICU care on a per diem basis, working nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with rotating weekends and holidays. Deliver family-centered care in a 35-bed unit, occasionally floating to Peds/PICU, SCN, and Mother Baby units. Maintain current Illinois RN licensure, BLS certification, and NRP certification within six months of start date. Requires two years of NICU Level 3 RN experience. Endeavor Health serves over 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties through eight acute care hospitals recognized for nursing excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current BLS through AHA
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) within six months of start date into position
- 2 years of NICU Level 3 RN experience highly preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
- Per Diem commitment Level 1: 32-72 hours per 6 week schedule
- Hours: Nights 7 PM - 7:30 AM including rotating weekends and rotating holidays
- Travel Required: Occasional floating into Peds/PICU, SCN and Mother Baby
