Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for NICU infants using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct care delivery through delegation, prioritize tasks, and coordinate resources while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaborate with physicians, families, and support staff to develop individualized care plans and prepare patients for discharge or further support needs. Maintain BLS certification and adhere to physical requirements for patient transfers, equipment manipulation, and navigating busy hospital environments.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
