Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the physical, social, and psychological status of NICU patients using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Collaboratively develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams while directing care delivery through delegation and resource management. Evaluate patient responses to interventions, revise care plans as needed, and provide accurate, timely documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Maintain BLS certification and adhere to state licensure requirements, including transferring compact licenses within 60 days. Requires a current RN license and BSN within four years of hire; BLS certification is mandatory. Located at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT, with a weekly schedule of 36 hours and an hourly range of $38.37 to $57.29.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
